Participant Requirements:  Men and women, ages 18 to 65, smokers or non-smokers.  Women  must be surgically sterile by hysterectomy, bilateral tubal ligation or bilateral oophorectomy (for at least 6 weeks prior) or be postmenopausal for at least 1 year.  Men must agree to practice a highly effective method of birth control such as abstinence, vasectomy or condom with spermicide for the duration of the study and for at least 3 months after the dose of the study drug.  Weight must be between 99 to 197 lbs.
What:  This study will be testing the absorption and metabolic rate of 2 different formulations of an investigational medication being developed for the treatment of bone disease, such as osteoporosis. This will be delivered through a subcutaneous injection (under the skin).
When:  This study will be completely outpatient, with a total of 18 visits.
Groups 1 thru 8 are full.
Group 9 visits are 2/16 at 6:00 a.m. (Day -1 lab work and physical exam), 2/17 at 5:30 a.m. (Medicate), 2/18, 2/19, 2/20, 2/22, 2/24, 2/27, 3/2, 3/5, 3/9, 3/16, 3/23, 3/30, 4/13, 4/27,  at 6:30 a.m. and a final visit for Exit Physical on 5/11 at 6:00 a.m.  
Group 10 visits are 2/27, at 6:00 a.m. (Day -1 lab work and physical exam), 2/28 at 5:30 a.m. (Medicate), 2/29, 3/1, 3/4, 3/6, 3/9, 3/13, 3/16, 3/20, 3/27, 4/3, 4/10, 4/24, 5/8, at 5:30 a.m. and a final visit for Exit Physical on 5/22 at 5:00 a.m.
How Much:  $1000. Group 9 pays on Thursday, May 17; and Group 10 pays Friday, May 25.
Physical:  Group 9 on Wednesday, February 8; and Group 10 on Monday, February 20; each at 3:00 p.m.

 

Study Number:  56711  ENROLL or call 417-831-2048   Weekends Only!

Participant Requirements:  Women, ages 18 to 38, non-tobacco users for at least 6 months. Women must be on a combined oral hormonal contraceptive (birth control pill) for at least 3 months prior to the 1st dose, be using a transdermal patch, Nuva Ring, practicing abstinence or using a double barrier method of birth control (condom with spermicide).   BMI must be between 18 and 32.
What:  This study will be comparing the metabolic rate of 2 different marketed fertility drugs while taking a marketed birth control pill.  The fertility drug will be delivered by a subcutaneous injection (under the skin).
When:  This study will consist of multiple groups each with 3 short stays (Saturday at 7:00 a.m. to Monday at 7:00 a.m.) with 7 outpatient visits after each stay. Groups 1 through 4 are CLOSED. 
 Group 5 returns on 3/3 OR 3/12 at 6:30 a.m.;  stay 3/31 thru 4/2 with returns on 4/2 at 6:30 p.m. and 4/3 thru 4/8 at 6:30 a.m.; stay 4/14 thru 4/16 with returns on 4/16 at 6:30 p.m. and 4/17 thru 4/22 at 6:30 a.m.; and stay 4/28 thru 4/30 with returns on 4/30 at 6:30 p.m. and 5/1 thru 5/5 at 6:30 a.m. with a final return for an Exit Physical on 5/6 at 6:00 a.m. 
Group 6 returns on 3/24 OR 4/12 at 6:30 a.m.;  stay 4/21 thru 4/23 with returns on 4/23 at 6:30 p.m. and 4/24 thru 4/26 at 6:30 a.m.; stay 5/5 thru 5/7 with returns on 5/7 at 6:30 p.m. and 5/8 thru 5/13 at 6:30 a.m.; and stay 5/19 thru 5/21 with returns on 5/21 at 6:30 p.m. and 5/22 thru 5/26 at 6:30 a.m. with a final return for an Exit Physical on 5/27 at 6:00 a.m.
How Much:  $3400 OR $3000.  Group 5 pays on Friday, May 11; and Group 6 pays on Friday, June 1.
Physical:  Group 5 on Monday, February 20 OR Monday, March 12 both at 6:00 a.m. Group 6 on Monday, March 12 OR Monday, April 2 both at 6:00 a.m.  Physicals will include a Pap smear, pelvic and breast exam and they will also require an additional return that will be scheduled at the physical, for a transvaginal ultrasound.

Participant Requirements:  Men and women, ages 18- 45, non-tobacco users or light users (5 cigarettes or less).  Women must be using a double method of contraception such as:  IUD or hormonal contraception in addition to condom, diaphragm or cervical/vault cap or spermicide or be postmenopausal or surgically sterile for 3 months prior.  BMI must be between 18 and 30 and weight must be between 110 and 209 lbs for men and between 88 and 187 lbs for women.
 What:  This study will be testing the absorption and metabolic rate of 2 different formulations of a hypertension medication (marketed vs. investigational).
When:  This study will consist of 2 stays (Friday at 6:00 p.m. thru Monday at 6:00 p.m.).  The stays are 2/17 to 2/20 and 2/24 to 2/27 with an Exit Physical on 3/3 at 5:00 a.m.
How Much:  $1000, paying on Friday, March 9.
Physical:  Thursday, February 9 at 3:00 p.m.

Study Number:  47311  ENROLL or call 417-831-2048   Outpatient Only!

Participant Requirements:  Men and women, ages 18 to 45, smokers or non-smokers.  Women must agree to use an acceptable method of birth control (e.g., abstinence, oral, IUD, condoms, diaphragm with spermicide, hormonal implants, vaginal ring, transdermal patch or parenteral contraception) used at least 4 weeks prior to the first vaccination and at least 4 weeks after the last vaccination, be post menopausal for at least 1 year or be surgically sterile (hysterectomy or bilateral tubal ligation).
What:  This study will be testing the antibody response of 2 investigational vaccine treatments for dengue fever with and without a vaccine for yellow fever. 
When:  This study will consist of outpatient only visits, dependent on the randomization, conducted in 11 groups.
Group 12 will return to vaccinate on 8/14 and 2/10/13; with follow up returns on 3/15, 9/11, 3/10/13 and 8/9/13; and a telephone contact on 3/1.
Group 13 will return to vaccinate on 8/14 and 2/10/13; with follow up returns on 2/23, 3/10, 3/15, 4/16, 6/15, 8/21, 8/28, 9/11, 10/13, 2/17/13, 2/24/13, 3/10/13, 4/11/13 and 8/9/13.
Group 14 will return to vaccinate on 4/16 and 8/14; with follow up returns on 3/15, 5/14, 9/11, 11/12, 2/10/13 and 8/9/13; and a telephone contact on 3/1.
Group 15 will return to vaccinate on 4/16 and 8/14; with follow up returns on 2/23, 3/1, 3/15, 4/23, 4/30, 5/14, 6/15, 8/21, 8/28, 9/11, 10/13, 11/12, 2/10/13 and 8/9/13.
Group 16 will return to vaccinate on 4/16 and 8/14; with follow up returns on 3/15, 5/14, 9/11, 11/12, 2/10/13 and 8/9/13; and a telephone contact on 3/1.
Group 17 will have follow up returns on 3/15, 5/16, and 9/13; and a telephone contact 3/1.
Group 18 will return to vaccinate on 4/16 and 8/14; with follow up returns on 3/15, 5/14, 9/11, 11/12, 2/10/13 and 8/9/13; and a telephone contact on 3/1.
Group 19 will return to vaccinate on 8/14 and 2/10/13; with follow up returns on 3/15, 9/11, 3/10/13 and 8/9/13; and a telephone contact on 3/1.
Group 20 will return to vaccinate on 8/14 and 2/10/13; with follow up returns on 2/24, 3/3, 3/15, 4/16, 6/15, 8/21, 8/28, 9/11, 10/13, 2/17/13, 2/24/13, 3/10/13, 4/11/13 and 8/9/13.
Group 21 will return to vaccinate on 4/16 and 8/14; with follow up returns on 2/24, 3/3, 3/15, 4/23, 4/30, 5/14, 6/15, 8/21, 8/28, 9/11, 10/13, 11/12, 2/10/13 and 8/9/13.
Group 22 will return to vaccinate on 4/16 and 8/14; with follow up returns on 3/15, 5/14, 9/11, 11/12, 2/10/13 and 8/9/13; and a telephone contact on 3/1.
